CitySplash! is a free community swim event designed to bring New Yorkers of all ages, backgrounds, and swimming abilities together in and around the water. Whether you’re an experienced swimmer, completely new to the pool, or simply looking for a fun summer activity with family and friends, CitySplash! creates a welcoming environment centered on movement, connection, and water accessibility.

Throughout the event, the pool will be divided into dedicated activity zones to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. Families and younger swimmers can take part in children’s games and supervised recreational activities, while participants interested in learning to swim can experience preview lessons from + POOL’s Bluefish Learn to Swim program. Adult swimmers will also have the opportunity to participate in ALTS (Adult Learn to Swim) classes designed to help build comfort, confidence, and foundational swimming skills in a supportive setting. For more experienced swimmers, designated lap swim lanes will be available as participants prepare for #MyFirstSwimMeet.

More than just an open swim, CitySplash! is part of + POOL’s ongoing mission to create a more swimmable, connected, and water-literate New York City. These events offer opportunities for neighbors, families, and first-time swimmers to gather together, engage with the waterfront, and strengthen their relationship to the water in a safe and welcoming space.
