Spend a Saturday treating yourself with members of the + POOL Community as we explore Governors Island on bikes, and cruise the car‑free paths with those stunning views of the harbor and the skyline. Along the way, we’ll roll up to Billion Oyster Project’s giant shell pile—the mountain of oyster shells NYC restaurants have saved from the trash—to see where they’re cleaned, cured, and prepped to become future oyster reefs. Expect easy riding, lots of stops for stories and photos, and a front‑row look at how leftover oyster shells are helping to rebuild New York Harbor, one reef at a time.

Participants can board the Ferry at Pier 6 (Atlantic Avenue) in Brooklyn, or from the Battery Maritime Terminal in Manhattan. Citibikes are available on the island! Spots are limited, and priority will be given to Monthly Lappers.
