We hung out by the Hudson on Pier 84 for the SUBMERGE Festival 2018

We love all the incredible people we get to hang with while building + POOL and on Saturday, September 22, 2018, we hung with some amazing peer groups that care deeply about the river for the Submerge Science Festival, hosted by the Hudson River Park Trust.

We met tons of New York families and shared + POOL with them, and were blown away by the number of kids that loved the idea of swimming in the river so much, they wanted to write to the Mayor right then and there about + POOL!  We also got to conduct some fun water quality experiments with some pretty cool kids, and play our filtration game (which is really just our version of corn hole).  The festival had beautiful weather with hundreds of families passing by all day to take in the aquatic research stations, water themed performances and views of that river we love so much.

The + POOL team and our amazing volunteers made new friends and caught up with long time supporters.  Huge shout out to our friends Jordan, Katherine and Jenny for helping out on a Saturday!

Over 50 future scientists stopped by to test our + POOL Water Filtration Experiment and learn about water quality and the pollution effecting our water ways.  These kids are great and continue to keep us motivated to build + POOL for them.

We’re all about the amazing (and free) things New York City has to offer through its amazing parks that are organized by our friends like the Hudson River Park Trust. We’re just taking it all in and excited to one day be able to host our own programs at + POOL for the community that is working with us to build + POOL!
