Andrew Essex joins the board

As the tiny organization surround + POOL grows, we all depend on our friends of friends becoming friends. Pretty much all our new friends come from another friend saying “Hey, so and so should really hear about + POOL.” The same goes for meeting Andrew Essex.

Joshua David introduced us to Andrew back when he was CEO of the incredible advertising firm Droga5 (now CEO of Tribeca Enterprises). It was one of our first big meetings. We sat down in his office, overlooking the river, with Josh, and told him about + POOL. When we were done with our little laptop presentation, he just sort of sat back in his chair and said “I’d be an idiot not to get involved.”

A few weeks later, he became our fifth board member, and hasn’t stopped propelling + POOL forward since. An incredibly generous dude, he’s given us time, advice, and introduced us to so many incredible friends, without hesitation. We can’t imagine + POOL without him.
