Meet the Runners
Fred Berger was born and raised in NYC and now works for WeWork. He’s also planning on inhaling all of the city’s beer, pizza and chicken wings as soon as he crosses the finish line. He says he’s running for + POOL “because the mission to make our city a more fair and safe place for all New Yorkers resonates with me.”
Camille Breslin is a one time + POOL intern who is now pursuing her MFA in Photography from Hunter College. “I’m running for + POOL because I strongly support the message that is being created. This will make it possible, not only for the public to have accessibility to swimmable water in the hot months, but to have pools that are environmentally proactive and sustainable. When this goal is reached, the mission that +POOL is driving will create a chain of positive reactions, hopefully causing global change in the way we view recreation and environmental progression.” She’ll be listening to NPR during the run, as she’s an ‘old man at heart’ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Corbin Keech, an architect at Studio Gang, is coming all the way from Chicago for the big day, so someone better buy him a beer and burger after the race (please). “Besides just missing NY’s streets, I’m running because I believe in healthy cities, healthy humans, and healthy rivers!” he says.
