1st Fall Swim Gala at The Wythe Hotel

We’ve had a few fundraisers in our time, but we knew we needed to start a big annual event when we became a nonprofit so that we could sustain the organization and its continued growth.  Our friend Andrew Tarlow at the Wythe Hotel hooked us up with an incredible event for all the friends of + POOL and our friends at Verboten hosted us for an afterparty, which was super great cuz it gave us a place to hang with friends who wanted to support but might not be able to swing a gala ticket yet.

The dinner was super exciting because we were able to host a lot of new people thanks to our growing board and share the project with new friends; but also, because Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Diana Reyna came out and put a big stamp of approval for + POOL, pledging that the Borough President’s Office would help fund + POOL if we brought it to Brooklyn. We’re still not sure where the city will let us build + POOL, but it’s nice to know that Brooklyn has opened its arms to us. 🙂
