In honor of City of Water Day and the launch of POOL1, the first iteration of + POOL, Friends of + POOL will host a Community Block Party featuring live performances, a XX foot waterslide, and activities and games for all ages.  The event will celebrate the future of NYC’s waterfront, where all New Yorkers have regular access to our city’s waters and can reconnect with nature.  

A series of science talks and panel discussions with + POOL engineers and scientists working on the project will engage community members more deeply in the work underway at the pool. We will also have guided tours of the new pool, so if you’d like to see it all for yourself register for a time slot.
