City of Water Day
Now in its 12th year, City of Water Day is a free harbor-wide day organized by the Waterfront Alliance and its partners to get people to, on, and in the water, and will be held this year on Saturday, July 13, 2019. The festival’s In Your Neighborhood events, in collaboration with the New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program, are organized by some of our more than 1,000 Alliance Partners- including +POOL!
Friends of + POOL is launching an online dashboard that can be viewed from anywhere, and will include in depth analysis of the various factors that affect water quality. For City of Water Day, we will share the dashboard with visitors in and along the Brooklyn Bridge Esplanade using iPads and through a pop up water quality stand, while also having our science and water quality experts on hand to answer any questions. This will be the first time this technology has been shared at City of Water Day- or anywhere!- so it will be a new experience for all participants.
+ POOL’s participation in this event is partly funded by Hudson River Foundation, the New York-New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program, the Waterfront Alliance and Sanctuary Computer.
