Did you know Gowanus was the beginning of America’s Independence? Learn the History of Gowanus while enjoying a sunset voyage of Gowanus Bay and lower Canal. Paddle with the Dredgers and imagine we one day provide barrier-free shoreline access similar to Dutch Canals!

What to expect: Meet at the Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club 19th Street Launch, 2 19th Street, Brooklyn (off of 3rd Ave.), wear sunscreen and bring a bottle filled with water.  Use a restroom before arrival and you should be prepared to climb over a rocky shoreline to enter & exit canoes.
