Urban Plunge Exhibition Opens in London

After we launched + POOL, we started to see a swell of urban swimming projects pop up all over the world—from Houston to Berlin—many of them approaching + POOL for thoughts and advice. One of the first we heard from was the Thames Bath, a proposal for a river pool in the Thames, by Chris Romer-Lee of Studio Octopi.

Chris was organizing an exhibition in London with Jane Withers and an organization called Wonderwater, and invited + POOL to be a part of it. The exhibition launched at Roca Gallery London (designed by Zaha Hadid) in September 14, 2014, and featured JDS Architects, Ooze and Studio Octopi.

Not only did Urban Plunge help situate + POOL in the global conversation about water quality and swimming, but we met a whole slew of inspiring people working in the same field we were, similar to our trip to Copenhagen for INDEX. Eventually the exhibition had the opportunity to travel to Barcelona, thanks to the coordination of Jane Withers.
