We’re continuing our annual tradition of joining the iconic Coney Island New Year’s Day Polar Bear Plunge! We hope to see you there again or for your first plunge on January 1st.

The Coney Island Polar Bear Club New Year’s Day Plunge has a 122-year tradition of ringing in the new year welcoming bathers from around the world. This is a bucket list event!

Wear a bathing suit or costume and expect a ton of fun. To get there, take the D/F/Q/N train to Coney-Island/Stillwell Avenue. 

To participate:

1. Let us know you are coming by RSVPing to programs@pluspool.com
2. Register for the plunge with the Coney Island Polar Bear Club here.

Need to Knows for the Day:

1. Pick up your wristband so the organizers can track who is going in the water. (Safety First!) Make sure to allow extra time, last year the lines were long but we had fun while we waited. We would recommend that you get there at 10am.
2. Meet at Ruby’s on the Boardwalk at noon, ready to plunge. Look for Raphael and Happy the Samoyed dog who will be there to greet you.
3. We walk onto the beach together and plunge!
